Owlthorpe Wild Orchard (No 11 on the Map) Owlthorpe Wild Orchard was created using trees grafted, by local volunteers, with stock from the ancient orchard at Beighton. This provides local birds with a vital food source, nectar for bees and insects. Overtime it has naturally spread and matured to the area around Owlthorpe Surgery. The land managment took place under the monitoring of Natural England by their Higher Level Stewardship Scheme.
